The 4-year course(holiday) called Engineering!

~~~~ The 4-year course(read it as HOLIDAY) called Engineering! ~~~~ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PS: (1) This is my personal opinion with some HUMOR. Do not take it to heart! ===>Incase... * If you disagree, * Want to bash me, * Want to SUE Me (I hope you dont, at least this one!) or * want to write against it.... As always, you are most welcome. :-). I shall be waiting for the same. (2) Not the exact category, I know.. but this one was the closest I believe. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As you might have guessed, I did my B.E. Completed 3 years back(2002) and I am still repenting for completing it in only 4 years!! :-) Yes, very true. It was one of the most savored 4 years of my life and I wish I could have prolonged it further.May be for 5 or 6 years... but unfortunately you cannot extend your enjoyment any further than that.If you ’’FAIL’’for one more year(Well do not read it as Fail, it is very dreadful, let us read it as ’’Do not pass’’) then you would be given the NFTC certificate!!And you cannot continue your ’’Battle’’ of the Engineering Degree. And for those who are wondering what exactly this NFTC means, then here it is. --> Not Fit for Technical Course :-) :-) So, all you guys/Gals incase planning to continue your honeymoon period then do take care of this particular thing. :-) . Well, I know, I dont need to give my inputs on this NFTC issue as everyone is quite aware of this :-)   Now, let us come to the exact point. What is so common in all the Engineering colleges ? Have you ever tried to think about it ? Have you ever tried to analyze it ? have you ever submitted your assignment on this? Am I boring you ? well, do not worry. I have done all those analysis and here is the data for you. :-) Enjoy.........................................                      Twenty (20) things common to all Engineering colleges: 1) The lecturers dont teach.The students dont study.The only guy who benefits is the one who owns the ’dhaba’ next    to the college. 2) Rules are made to be broken. 3) Promises are made to be broken. 4) Deadlines are made to be extended...ALWAYS! 5) Guys always think the chics in the college next lane are more beautiful. 6) The geeks are the most pampered lot during the internal exams. 7) The lab assistants are the most respected people(during the lab exams) 8) The watchmen are the people most bribed. 9) The HOD is the person most respected(heights of sycophancy here!). 10) The principal is the person most abused and insulted(behind his back of course) 11)Dropping subjects is ’cool’(arrey yaar..drop the idea of dropping subjects plzz!!) 12)There is always a lecturer in the college who cant speak proper ’’Englis’’ 13)Night-out is the second most important tool to ace the exams. 14)The most important tool..the bhramastra..is the ’chit’ in which the words can be understood only by the    person who wrote them(in most of the cases) 15)The freshers are the most sought after..be it in the canteen, the ’free’ periods or for completing the    records, assignments etc. 16)The second-years are the ones with the ’’I am the don-of-the-college’’ feeling. 17)The third years are the ones with the ’so-many-backlogs’ feeling and the poor souls get down to studying after    bossing around in the college for so long.But the fun still continues.(They utter ’’I gave 22 exams last year You see!!, it was fun’’ -- Come on whatz the fun in giving 22 exams at a trot ?? I really do not know!). 18)The fourth years have no connection! with the college whatsoever...with no interest in ragging, pulling each    other`s legs, the b’day parties, the b’daybums etc all which they enjoyed so much till then.All they want is a good    placement and a ’1st-class with Distinction’ or ’1st-class’ tag attached to their memo. 19)The first three years are spent in cursing the college, the people there, the system almost anything and everything. 20)But towards the end of the fourth year, people tend to feel nostalgic about the pure unadulterated fun they have had for 4 years.Now the very system they disliked, the very canteen they cursed, the time that they spent there, the b’day bums they suffered..all these seem like heaven to them!! Well, that’s all I could collate. YOu are most welcome to add more......... Your comments are most welcome....... Chill out... Amith
