IELTS

I would like to share with you guys how I was very much successful in completing my ielts examination and scored a good rate.

Firstly, when I decided to take the test as others might face I too seekd advice from others who has already taken the ielts test. Most of the answers was it was a never acheivable goal and cannot be made up in one single attempt. I would say if you have learned about what you are going to do , never ever seek advice from others , just ask their experinec and leave that matter then and there as if you carry it with yourself it becomes the same as others has said to you.

Secondly , do a premiliminary study of the topics to be covered and the refrence texts you should be going through. I would suggest to take an experts help in this as I did.

Thirdly, once the study materials are finalised spend 2 - 4 hours a day for studies as per your convience. But remeber once you are on study you should cover all the 4 subjects not just 1 in a single day and keep to the set time too from first itself as this would help you a lot towards the end. So practise by alloting set time frames to each of reading, writing , liesting and speaking.

Forth , start preparation from the moment you decide / wish to take part in ielts test. Only once you feel condiment apply for the test as even after submitting the application you get 2 weeks time to prepare / or brush up of the final test.

Fifith , during the last 2 weeks give more time / concentration on the subject you feel is more complicated for you. As I would say reading was the toughest for me but I don’t know how I got 8 out of 9 in that.

Sixth , dedicate the last 4 days complete on to studies .

This was my experience which I have shared with you. And I would say with this systematic way of learning even at the age of 30 I was able to come out with a overall score of 7.5 out of 9. My sincere thanks to my coach for supporting me and guiding me throughout my coaching period.

Hope this would help some one who is preparing for IELTS.

Thanks and regards,

Preetha
