I have been to Sue’s 8-10 times, and never felt disappointed. Every time, the feeling was happiness, contentment and wishing I had an additional stomach or two.
They serve Caribbean food. But those who have never tasted Caribbean don’t worry. It goes very well with the Indian palette too. The buffet is on Saturdays and Sundays and costs about Rs.200/-. They have a variety of salads, both veg and non-veg. If you like salads, you would surely love this place. Just make sure that you keep some space in your stomach for the lovely desserts. The cakes are awesome, so are the fruit salads and puddings. The main course pales slightly in comparison to the salads and desserts, but that is also tasty.
If you would like a la carte, go for steaks. The fish steak is very nice. They also have rotis, rice, a nice drink called Cocorico and lots more.
The ambience is not like a restaurant, it’s more like a house. The waiters and assistants are very well-mannered and helpful.
You also meet the owner, a wonderful lady there, most of the days.
Let me also write here, a good experience we had there. I have a son who is 4 years. When we went there for a buffet lunch, we were not sure whether to pay for my son too. We ordered rotis for him, but thought he could share our curries. The owner was around(don’t know if her name is Sue!), and she understood our confusion. She immediately told us that my son could eat as much as he wanted from the buffet with no extra charges. She also said that we would be charged for the food that he wastedJ
That was so sweet of her, and that actually reflects the ambience of the place. More than the air conditioning or the decorative lights.
I would like the recommend Sue’s to anybody who would like to try out new tastes.
