I went to order a cake for my daughters first birthday. There was this person named jagjot at the counter. I showed him a picture and asked him if they can make the cake. He said that he need to ask his chef for the same. After couple of minutes he came back and said yes we can make it.
I him the price so he told that they will charge 1675 for per kg. I told him that we need 3 kg cake. He calculated and said that the total price will be 5025. I found it a bit expensive but agreed to it as it is a well known bakery.
It was around 1 week before the birthday date that we ordered. Also gave 1000 as an advance for booking.
The day arrived and I reached their outlet on 11 September 2018 at 4.00 P. M. The party time was 5.30. I saw the cake and was a bit disappointed with the preparation.
I asked him how much I need to pay. He told that I need to pay 6900 more. I said that you might be mistakened. I was told the price to be 1675 per kg and the total comes out to be 5025. He said that let me check with the person. He called the person and then told me that they told the wrong price by mistake the other day. I argued with him but he refused to help and called his store manager named Surrender. I talked with him and he told that they can only make a discount of 700 and rest I need to pay.
I argued a lot but they simply did nothing. They were surely in a thought I was in a need of the cake as it was the birthday party in next 30 minutes and they knew that I cannot get a designer cake in next 30 minutes from anywhere. I was stuck and paid them the amount they asked as I did not wanted to spoil my daughters birthday however felt ditched.
I will not recommend this bakery to anybody.
