I read this only because my librarian reserved it for me and I didnt want to hurt her feelings. This was another complete waste of time from Americas (apparently) favorite hack writer. The story starts slowly and then builds to ...well, nothing, actually. A fairly obvious and uninteresting denouement. He ought to go back to lawyering where perhaps he has some measure of competence. But starting with The Firm, he has clearly demonstrated his lack of ability to tell an interesting story. Primitive paintings are interesting; primitive writing is not. There are many more competent writers in the same and in related genres to waste time or money on this book.
