Sun Direct was recommended by father 7 months back . The bad quality of Cable was the key driver to move towards DTH service. I liked Zee TV packages (Who brought DTH to india) but MPEG 4 technology was not available at that moment hence I was forced to go SUN Direct .
Positives:
Good Picture Quality - MPEG 4 is good in LCD(SAMSUNG Full HD TV)
Facility pay online.
Add /remove Top Up Channels - Online
Tamil package is good.
Video on Demand Channel for Tamil , Telugu and Hindi available.
Negatives:
Very Bad Customer service.
Sport channels, Packages for English and Hindi are not economical.
SUN Direct initially seemed cheaper but it is really not.
I am paying around 280 Rupees
Tamil Basic Package + Pluto Plus (Includes all Cartoon channels) + Star Movies, HBO, WB(Warner) Star World
AXN and all news Channels.
Metro package is available but it lacks Nickelodeon and Disney channel for kids. I really missing Sports Channels which I am getting it whenever there is a major Sports - World Hockey, Cricket or Soccer.
