It has been since 3 months they have taken my Set top box for service and they did not give me any receipt and when I ask them they are saying complain to police, get a FIR (they have enough FIRs already and I dont know why they need more)

Please give complaint in the police station and get the FIR Copy. Produce the same to our distributor and he will inform us regarding the same. Then we will able to claim insurance and revert back the new box to you.

When I spoke to the local police inspector who is close friend of mine, it seems they have taken 1000 of set top boxes from many clients who have not recharged it for more than 2 to 3 months, and since the set top box belongs to them they dont give a bill for it when we buy, so we cant file a FIR at the moment, but since they have been in wanted list since last 2 months soon they will be roped in with this complaint along with others.
Such Rogues should be punished. They think they can escape so easily without givng any service. They have to inform well in advance and not steal like this. Any way let this be the experience to others. Please dont go for the Sun direct as thier service is one of the worst in the world at least for now. In my case I have not been able to get tuned and there was some trouble in the set top box since sept 2010 and it needed to be repaired since they changed the satellite direction and they want me to recharge when I cant see anything and I did complain to them around 15 times in vain.
Well even if they wish to take away I dont mind, but stealing.
