I along with my colleague had brought two Corsa cars from Sundaram Motors a month back. Though the GM brand boasts of the technology and customer service it looks this dealer seems to a black spot on that claim. The pre-sales activity of the sales department is so good that they make you to the buy the vehicle the moment you enter their show room but then it looks they are never bothered about you once your cash reaches them and sale is made. Below are some of the problems I faced and continue to face even after a month from purchasing the car:
The advance booking money (money given to dealer at the time of booking) has not been returned as of date. The car was taken thru a lease plan and now to return our advance booking money the dealer wants several papers from my company, lease plan agency etc etc. It looks these guys (dealers) come from a background of our government offices!
The dealer is yet to give some of the accessories that were promised as part of deal. Apart from this even to get the accessories one needs to visit the dealer personally every time. In effect to get the accessories I have visited already 3 times in a month the dealers shop. And the reasons mentioned by sales people for not giving the promised accessories are like... the stores in charge person is on leave, the stocks are exhausted, etc etc. I fail to understand how with this mentality one can support the world leader brand called General Motors (GM).
Whenever I have called the sales person he always says (I don’t know if he pretends) he is busy with a customer for sale and will call me back. But that call never comes as he is too busy in catching u another customer. I guess the management at Sundaram Motors needs to teach a basic lesson that the existing customers are worth a thousand to promote their brand and help them sell more!
What surprises me is that even the managers (higher ups) at this dealer seem to have this tendency to put-off the clients!
My strong recommendation to the people who want to buy a GM product is to evaluate the other dealers at Bangalore. Your last and unfortunate choice could be Sundaram Motors!
