Alanis alanis... what an artist!
about her album ’supposed former infatuation junkie’... well, personally I think it was patchy AS COMPARED to her first album.
her first album was phenomenal... no second thoughts on that... her angry and overt lyrics with surprisingly catchy tunes makes ’jagged little pill’ my pick.
’supposed former infatuation junkie’ lacked this a bit... and I think was more experimental. not that I didn’t like the album... did like it... the song ’thank you’ in particular... but not as much as the her first album.
’under rug swept’- her latest album, I think is more in line with her first album... more melodic though. not nearly as angry... you could even just hang on to the melody without paying much attention to her words.
in a nutshell: my order of preference of alanis’ albums: jagged little pill, under rug swept and then ’supposed former infatuation junkie’
