Though surat is the 4th fastest growing city in the world but it has a poor air connectivity. The airport needs to upgraded as soon as possible to be able to cater international operations as well as to smoothen the ongoing operations. The terminal building is very small as per the requirement as some passengers have to stand during peak hours. The airport doesn’t have any executive lounge to serve vvips and business class passengers. The airport needs an international status badly to be able to operate international flights and the terminal building needs to be expanded with more facilities. Surat city deserves a much more than this.
