The much awaited follow-up to The Writing’s On The Wall is every bit its equal, another action-packed, R&B attitude display. Of course, it instantly has a considerable head start on its predecessor because already there are 3 #1 singles released. These are very talented women, they just get better and better.
Unsurprisingly Independent Women Part 1 and Survivor are my favourite songs on the album. Bootylicious is another great funky tune on the album.
When an album opens with Independent Women and Survivor there is little room for any doubt as to the quality of the subsequent music. And although it doesn’t get any better, songs like Sexy Daddy and the very pretty Dangerously In Love are extremely good. If this is the future of pop music, and it should be, the writing certainly is on the wall for the competition.
