In India People Hardy know the importance of Open Source Platform Despite
India being a leading IT Player.
I attended one of the Technical Interviews where a Guy told "
Linux is not an advanced Operating System.."
How Can People be So Ignorant About Linux Distributions
I Hope If the Guy had even taken a look into the Latest Suse Linux Distribution
Like Open Suse 10.0 ..
He would not have made such a foolish statement
I would Like to draw the attention of MouthShut Community on Suse Linux Distribution.
I am using Suse Linux 9.2 / WinXP Dual Boot PC
First of all It was So easy to Install Suse in a dual boot Environment
I had No Problem in Installing It Even Though it was my first such experiment.
Now I have the Choice of Having various Desktop Environments like
KDE, GNOME and lots more
I was impressed by the Open Office Package in Linux
I am Particularly Impressed by the fact that Distro Contained So may
Multimedia Utils , Like Totem movie player, Real Player, Amarok and many..
I would like to Mention that Windows Media Player 10.0 Sucks, While
When I play the Music with Amarok I found that Quality was simply superb and
It never Hangs Like Windows..
Security wise
Linux Does not Make use of concept of Registry ..
That is why Virus Threats are very rare on Linux Platform...
I had a variety of Web browsers Like FireFox, Konquerror,
You have So many Screen Saver themes ( brilliant ones)
which are not even Present in Windows Operating System
More ever Open Suse Linux brought in features much before Windows Planned
Vista Release...
IT will Surely give a run for money for Windows Vista
I would feel nice If I get to read reviews on Recent Linux Distributions
Fedora core 5 , Madriva 2006 , Open Suse 10.0 .
Which Simply OutPerform MS-Windows
