I bought my new Suzuki Gixer(carburetted engine) in Feb 2018. Done the first servicing in March 2018 and have done 1000 Kms with the bike.
I did not go with the SF version since I do not like the concept of headlight not following the handle when it turns.
The riding position on the bike is very comfortable and the maneuvering of the bike in the crowded streets is smooth. The engine sounds well refined and responses very fast to the throttle input. The gear ratios are well designed for the city rides. It picks up from 15kmph to 30kmph on the 3rd gear very effortlessly. Till now I have not felt the need for ABS and the front and rear disc brake do the job superb.
The gear box seemed to be a bit hard before the first service but it has now become buttery smooth. The 35W stock headlight did not seem bad for city driving as the speed rarely touched 70kmph. A couple of times I had to drive during the rains(cant say about the unseasonal rain in Bangalore) and the tyres have provided a good road grip and riding confidence.
Being a single commuter in the city driving conditions, I am getting a fuel economy of 45-48 kmpl.
I would definitely recommend this bike for a person for daily commute in the city.
