Its with great pleassure am writing this review, and also thinking that this will help atleast 1 to select this bike as his ride. I got my GS back in December 2012. Waiting period was just 2 days since the color I opted was not there. So I got my bike delivered to me @ 7.00 PM from Aryan Suzuki, Bangalore .
So far, I have completed 4300 Kms and 3 services done . The bike is a pure beast. Its powerful enough to go upto 110 (well, thats my best so far.. bt heard others have gone upto 125 kmph) without any effort or any vibrations. You will be amazed with the acceleration it has after some 40 kms. But I must say, the initial pickup is little bit low compared to other competitor bikes.
That 6th gear is a real boon for us. we can drive in 6th gear even if the bike is in 30 kmph or in 110 kmph. It doesnt matter.. and the riding comfort is un matcable. The bike makes no vibrations at all. Excellent refining.
When it comes to sitting position, the bike has got an great sitting positions that neither the rider or the pillion doesnt feel any back pain even after long drives.
Mileage : It purely depends on the way you use it. If you are a high speed driver, the mileage will be in the range of 40’s . otherwise it can provide 50-60 kmpl easily.
The bike is not so common on the streets and that makes it different :) you can see every eyes on the bike when it is parked in a common place. Or you can see other ppl looking at the bike when it is stopped in a signal ..
The bike is a bit heavy and that makes it stable on high speeds and very much good for tall peoples. Also, the turning radius is little bit more than the rest 150 cc bikes. So you wil find it not so easy to push through the blocks. (but ofcourse any 1 can wait for 30 secs for the green light to show , , right?)
Braking : the front disk break is really good. but the rear isnt upto the mark if I say.
Services : so far, I have completed 3 services. No problems so far.
I am unaware of the spare parts availability as I didnt ha to look for anything till now.
Cons : Initial Pickup is low , rear brakes , high price,
Pros : superior comfort , gret mileage , Road Presence, refined engine, 6th Gear, great accelereation after 30-40 kmph (which other bikes lacks), engine sound, stitting position,
If you are looking for a 150 CC segement bike, make sure you take a test drive of GS before you book any other bikes. that may change your thoughts on going for other machines :D :)
