We bought this bike on April 2009 with great love towards Suzuki. After the engine run-in we started going above the speeds 60. Then only we understood the real failure of this bike, engine noise. When the engine is cold, its sound is really unnoticeable. As the engine gains its optimum temperature, it starts giving noise. When we approached Suzuki ASC, we saw around 20 bikes with the same problem. After a lot of fighting with them, they said they’ll change the engine head and give it back. But even after the work, the problem was still there. We googled about this problem and saw some complaints given in orkut also.
We sent a mail to Suzuki Head describing the problem in detail around 6 months back. There was no reply from them. When we called the Suzuki head office number, they said they’ll get back to us soon. But no call afterwards.
When we googled further, we understood that Suzuki India didn’t bother reply to any of the person who has emailed regarding this problem.
Besides that, every metal part of GS 150 R gets rusted easily. Petrol tank, Side stand, centre stand, handle end etc. are the main affected area.
So guys, honestly I am telling you, don’t go for this bike, if you value your hard earned money.
