Suzuki GS150R:I am using this bike since Oct. 2010 and can surely say that this is among the best 150CC bikes in India.
I got this bike 2 years back. While searching for a 150CC bike, my initial inclination was for Honda Unicorn,
Since I had already drove the bike so I was quite impressed with it and wanted to have it,
but because of it long waiting time of approx. 9 months I dropped the idea to buy it.
After doing a lot of market research I finally decided to get GS150R.
Ever since my first ride of this bike till date I am enjoying every second on it. Though the looks of the bike
are not so great as you will get in some other bike in this segment, but the performance and comfort that this
muscular body provides is unmatched.
At the first looks of the bike you will surely be impressed with its gear ratio of 6 speed transmission,
the tail light, its digital speedometer console with orange back ground which doesnt immediately gets off, instead fades off gradually when you swithch it off. It also indicates the gears, console is also equipped with 3 trip meters and digital clock.
As far as riding comfort is concern, I like it as its overall position of handlebar, seating position and foot rest positions are very intelligently designed that makes its ride very comfortable both on highways and in the city.
Handling and ride on GS150 is so smooth and effortless that even in citys dense traffic, you wont feel anything to get your way out as its handling is as smooth as melting butter. Along with its comfortable ride quality, its suspension are also fantastic. It absorbs all the shocks on even worst of the road conditions.
As mentioned earlier, look wise Gs150 is not a very good looking bike. but for me its TRP is its comfortable and smooth ride.
If you are not very enthusiastic about the speed ranging in 3 digits, this bike is perfact. You can easily drive the bike on highways for a really long distances yet wont feel any tiredness. you can easily maintain around 80 - 85 KMPH speed in 6th gear on highways.
Fuel efficiency, though I am not a very smart or good rider of a bike but still can be able to fetch a healthy 50 - 54 KMPL average from the bike, but some good
bikers also claimed to have approx 60 KMPL from the same bike, which I believe is very good for a 150CC bike.
Now Its pricing:
in Mumbai I got this bike at around 67K(On road price) though it seems a bit higher side but it compensate it with its ride quality, comfort and mileage.
I would say, its a great value for money bike from Suzuki.
