This bike is gs150r. How can I forget this pathetic bike? My bike is 2011 jan model purhased from dwarka suzuki. it has only run 24000 till date even when I park it in shade, all I see is rust of the tank, handlebar and multiple places.
Ride is good, but lasts only a few thousand kilometers. spares are expensive and will leave you naked one day. recently barely after doing 23k kms, the engine has developed a strange sound. which according to me can be attributed to crank sound. soon over the bike will start to DRINK UP oil as well. I have been timely maintaining this bike with my own hands filling expensive moult 3000 4T, doing regular service, but I am shocked to see the sound coming from the engine with mere 24k running?Right. I see possibility of engine work.crank, piston and cylinder. there goes my 10000Rs on expensive spares.
Whereas I havedone roadside mechanic doing work on highly beaten up pulsars and discovers with so much ease, and in a very affordable mannercertainly, this is the reason suzuki bikes never succeeded in the market.
THEN THE STORY BEGINS WHEN I SEE MULTIPLE THREADS ON THE XBHP FORUM STATING THEY HAD GOT THEIR ENGINE WORK DONE RIGHT AFTER BRINGING THEIR BIKES OUT OF THE SHOWROOM ESP 2009-2010 MODEL.
Thank God, I have kept my honda eterno and it has clocked decent 62k kms it was hand serviced by my own hands and spares are easily and cheaply available
TRUST ME FRIENDS, GO FOR HONDA. BETTER SPARES, BETTER RELIABILITY AND BEFORE GOING IN FOR NEW MODELS LIKE THIS, AT LEAST WAIT FOR SOMETIME.
