It has been almost a year and half and I am loving this bike. I purchased it on 3rd December 2009. I would like to give a honest comment about this bike so it will make all easy for new suzuki bikers.
I am into 8th servicing of this bike, gone upto 13500+ Kms and sill found no problem.
This bike is just awesome when it comes to comfort and reliability. Average of suzuki gs150r is quite satisfactory for 150cc bike, It gives average about 50-55kmpl* when in economy mode and 45-50kmpl* when in power mode.
Top speed goes upto 110-115Kmph* with almost no vibrations and engine noise. 6th gear adds more value when riding on highway. But it doesn’t mean that 6th gear is useful only at high speed, you can ride on 35-40Kmph* on 6th gear with out any problems and chain sound. Gear shifting is smooth as butter.
I have been riding this bike from Mumbai to Pune occasionally with pillion, its around 225kms*.This bike gives you great Reliability and comfort and Fuel consumption is very less as compared with other 150cc bikes for long distance.
No bike can be perfect, I personally found some problems with this bike.suzuki gs150r is the heaviest bike in 150cc segment, Pillion seat is quite high from ground level so it makes little difficult for shorter people to get on bike. Head light power is quite low as compared to other 150cc bikes. Lack of sporty look, though in commuter category its quite satisfactory. Rest no problems.
I recommend all people who are in search of 150cc bike go for suzuki gs150r.
This bike is total value for money.
