I have been lookint for a 150cc and short listed gs150r, unicorn and hunk. I was really impressed with many reviews of gs150r as I am little heavy and 5ft 10" tall.
I went for test drive few days back and found that the height and weight of the bike are very good and suitable for me but PICKUP in LOW GEAR is not great.
I mostly drive in city and I have a car so I never travel more than 5 km on bike. It’s only for miscellaneous riding in city which is full of signals. There are lot of good reviews about the bike’s ability in long distances, I am assuming it’s useless to me if I don’t have pickup for short distances / city riding.
I rode Hunk few days back and very impressed but to be frank I didn’t want so fancy bike (I am 40+ so feel little awkward to to be riding a bike meant for 20year olds :). I also liked UNICORN from reviews but unable to get a test drive vehicle. Been to two dealerships but they don’t have test drives. But newerUNICORN vehicles are comigng with Tubeless.
GS150R : Great feel when driving but is lacking quick pickup. I drove less than 1 mile only but encountered 4 signals so I was able to see that the pickup was not good. Should I bother? 76k onroad quote. Has kill engine switch. No tubeless.
UNICORN : No dealership in Hyderabad I visited has a test drive vehicles. Now comes with tubeless and 77k onroad quote. Should I trust reviews and sign it up though didn’t test drive?
HUNK : Great feel. Quick Pickup. 78.5 k quote onroad. However it might be too fancy for me. Now includes both kick start and auto start and has TUBELESS.
My heart says GS150R but my head says HUNK. My wife says Activa :)Your opinions please. Price doesn’t matter to me. No new bike suggestions please. I am already confused.
