Hello guys, I am mayank. I own a suzuki hayate 2016 model and taday I am going to give you a decision making review of the same of weather to buy it in 2018 or not. So lets begin.Firstly if I talk about this styling and appeal of the bike, it is normal and same as the other commuters out there. It got nothing special in it and everything is common as the other bike of the segment.Talking about the front instrument console, it has a speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, turn indicator and light indicator. Again there is nothing special over here also.Talking about the ride quality of the bike, now this is the area where suzuki hayate excels over its competitors just because it is very lightweight and does feel very agile and doesnt delay in changing directions and there lie con of the bike that is poor road grip, even with new tires installed I wasnt feeling confident during quich direction change and on quick corners. The power delivery throughout the rpm range is not very linear and the on-off throttle transition is also very jerky and after the speed of 60kmph it gets very buzzy and sometimes it is annoying. The bike soaks up bump very easily thus making it a comfortable bike and complimenting to a good riding experience which is the only good thing about the bike. The overall quality of the bike is below average as the switches, plastic and wire used in the bike is of very cheap quality but considering the price of the bike its decent. Now talking about the mileage, during normal city commute the bike roughly gives me an average of 35-40 kmpl and on the highways it give somewhere around 45-50 kmpl which is also below par and very less than what competition is giving.Talking about the maintenance and reliability of the parts of the bike, its each service cost me somewhere around ₹500 which also include a oil change. The parts of the bike are easily available and are cheap therefore its easy to maintain bike. Now the final verdict, it is priced at ₹53, 382 where it will directly compete with hero passion pro 110, splendor i-smart and honda drem yuga. It is clear that you can buy Hero passion pro 110 and Honda dream yuga with the same money and it is more reliable and trusted than the hayate. So I advice you to not waste money on this and better go for any other bike in the competition.
