I bought my Suzuki Zeus in Feb. 08, I have done nearly 13000kms.do not compare this with other flashy high end models this is purely a practical means of transport for two from point A-B.
Good aspects
A Truly ‘Value for money’ Bike
Design conservative(acceptable to employed city commuter, may not appeal to college students).
Horn is very powerful and audible -good enough to warn pedestrians who walk as carefree as cattle in the middle of the roads.
Mileage – highest 84kms, random check 74kms on highway and in city traffic 66+ with frequent Stops and restarts. Gear indicator is helpful& very useful when you check mileage.
Smooth engine-almost silent on long trips carries two comfortably; steep gradients needs frequent gear shifts-perhaps a little less power than the competition.
Adequate shocks -front and rear & vibration dampers in handle bar.
Speedo console well lit good visibility at night. Turn signals & cancel switch- good & useful feature
Engine kill switch-almost a standard feature now on bikes
Alloy wheels, Electric start, Pass switch and good paint finish - more colors welcome.
build quality is good and sturdy.
The After sales service of ESSCO Trivandrum is good. Hassle free documentation and registration.
Aspects that can be improved
Headlamp fairing not impressive(has been rectified in the new Zeus.) Head lamp brightness needs improvement.(No option for park - only low and high beam) Trip meter will be added advantage.
Side stand can be just a little more inclined, Saddle height can be a bit lower; will benefit the not so tall consumers
Petrol tank cover could have been flip open & hinged type
Seat has to be softer, helps spare ones bottom on rough bumpy roads.
