I purchased this bike in May 2007, the version is disc brake, kick start and spoke wheels. Things were good initially, but later on my carburetor started giving trouble. The O-ring was changed 3 times before Feb 2010. In Feb 2010, one fine morning while going to job, I fully opened the throttle and the throttle got jammed at full! Imagine my horror when the accelerator was fully opened and jammed, I almost had an accident.
There was problem with carburetor and after complaining at Suzuki head office, the dealer replaced the Carb for free. But the bike would stop after being shut down after full throttle jamming. Before the carburetor was replaced, once coming back to home in monsoon, I had throttle jamming even at 3000 rpm. Very dangerous, but somehow I managed it.
Whenever I applied my brakes at reasonable speed, the front wheel goes out of alignment. Plastic disc brake fluid container is falling off......
My earlier caliber was better.
Service charges are now also going up. I have spend more than Rs 7000/- within 20, 000kms for maintenance. Apart from these major issues, I had many minor issues. I was better off with some other bike I think.
BTW, I am located in Gujarat and dealer is reasonable, but the product is bad.
