Recently I watched one of the most awesome movies of my life. Its name is Swades. I am not writing any film(y) review because I don’t work for any film magazine. I shall write about the movie because I think I should do so. The character ofMohan Bhargav played by Shahrukh khan was unforgettable. For that I would like to quote a line which I read somewhere in a review A STAR TURNED AN ACTOR.
But all we should pay attention to is the message given by the movie. It’s really heart touching for that I will quote the promo line used by star gold, KYA AAP ME HAI EK MOHAN BHARGVA. This is something which I have been trying to get an answer for a long time.
The movie and Mohan Bhargav send a clear message to us that whatever and wherever we are we should not forget our soil. The movie is a story about a nation named BHARAT not INDIA. The nation where most of the villages are still not in the sphere of electricity. The nation where still caste and creed matters so much that a lower caste person is not allowed to live among other people, that nation where women education is still a taboo, the nation where grass root level is still untouched with the so called development and of course it is the story about two nations where in one of them a child is does not have the advantage of education and sells glass of water for just 25 paisa to get food and on the other hand a nation which is spending millions of dollars to find a single cell entity in the space.
Here I am not saying that we should oppose the development but think about it; is it the development where one person is driving a car which is faster than the speed of sound and the other one doesn’t have food enough to survive. Whatever we are trying to achieve we should start it from level one. We should ensure that whatever we are making each and everyone should have the advantage of it. This is what the message the director and MOHAN BHARGAV want to give us.
For something more I dont have enough words to write. Each Indian should watch the movie and decide what he/she is going to do for the nation and if we could find aMOHAN BHARGAV in ourselves we can light another bulb in the series - of ’SWADES’, of our country.
