Not so you feel stupidly sentimental, and take the message about coming back home ’’to light the bulb’’ seriously; but because it inspires you to really believe in the fact that we can ALL make a difference. If only we ’believe’ we can and get started in our own little ways, the perspective will shift rapidly. This is why YOU need the see the movie.
The story-telling is superb and drives home the message hard. Do not waste your time, trying to find the usual mismatch with reality. Plush caravans loaded with apple widescreens, do not download broadband content from NASA in Charanpur, where supposedly no ISD is available; and light bulbs do not wait for turbines to precisely clip past 230V, before power surges through a transmission system. Stop arguing with yourself, sit back and enjoy.
P.S. - 5 years back we gave up our little green cards, and came home. Today as we watched the movie, full family - with my 2 little american citizen kids, it was hard to hold back the tears.
