These songs of Swades are simply incomparable.....only if someone wanted, Id ask him to go for Lagaan.....The powerful lyrics was one of the most incredible feature of all Lagaans songs....and So is of Swades....have a look.
Pal Pal Hai Bhari
Chanting started....!!! When she initiated recalling the glory of her Man,
it generated a wave of simpleton pleasure in her that none could ever have!!
When asked what virtue of Ram drove Seetas devotion, she says
Jag Mein Sabse Uttam Hain, Maryada Purushottam Hai
Sabse Shaktishaali Hain, Phir Bhi Rakhte Sanyam Hai
The recite is not less that any bhajan Meera has performed blindly in the Love for Krishna.... Madhushree has the voice of devotee and Ashutosh Gowarikar looks in perfect mood of overpowering her passion.
Ye Jo Desh Hai Tera
Dil se re..... was the one when he sang likeable, this time he overcame. A.R.Rehman sings with a subtle compassion. His voice possess the wave of authority which always flutters thickly, when it comes of singing nation-re-lational songs...listen to this
Yu To Sare Sukh Hai Barse, Par Door Tu Hai Apne Ghar Se
Aa Laut Chal Tu Ab Deewane, Jahan Koi To Tujhe Apna Maane
Aawaaz De Tujhe Bulane, Wohi Des....
It is journey....back to homeland....!!
Yuhin Chala Chal Raahi
This reminds me a typical countryside journey song....
Dekhoo Jidhar Bhi In Raahon Mein,
Rang Pighalte Hain Nigaahon Mein
Thandi Hawa Hai, Thandi Chhaav Hai,
Door Woh Jaane Kiska Gaav Hai...
The voyage started with no particular destination in mind, has now bacome a unresistable dream that, you wish was true.....
Har Sapna Sach Lage, Jo Prem Agan Jale
Jo Raah Tu Chale Apane Man Ki
Udit Narayan and Kailash Kher (with Hariharan) are in absolute accord with each other.
Dekho Na
Another Udit Narayan-Alka Yagnik number. Very sweet at heart and very clever in intention. In the middle of their flourishing romance, she reminds him of a every bit of detail thats happening around them.....and he assures her his awareness of every bit of details even she misses to point out... and they being more matured than ever, accept the unimportance in their lives without presence of his/her love....
Hum Donon Ne Ab Jana Jeene Ka Matlab Kya Hai
Pahle Kya Thi Ab Kya Hai Yeh Zindagi
Hum Donon Ne Ab Jana Duniya Kitni Pyari Hai
Payee Kitni Sari Hai Humne Khushi
Yeh Tara Woh Tara
Probably the best in this album. Mind here, it doesnt have a best lyrics and its certainly not the best composed. Its the gist of the poem. Its eagerness of people listening to this song. Its the singers intense feeling of obligation of expaining the stars and universe, to the village people, which is just peerless.
Samjho Sabse Pahle To, Rang Hote Akele To
Indradhanush Banta Hi Nahin
And he then tries to unite them to combat the unjust...
Ek Na Hum Ho Payeh To, Anyay Se Ladne Ko
Hogi Koi Janta Hi Nahin, Phir na Kehna Nirbal hai kyu Haara....
His funny way of hunhundling as though he is confused with his own words, only to recover it with haara taara....isnt it something funny!!!
Sawariya Sawariya
This is one more kind of complaining and kind of expressing song, sung beautifully by Alka Yagnik. Lyrics and mood, however, remind me of More piya, Ab Darta hai Dekho Mora Jiya... from Devdas........but still it charms especially if you think of someone you fear to express yourself to.....(For Girls its effective)....
Tu Jo Mujhe Aise Behkae,
Kabhi Kabhi Mujhe To Badi Laaj Si Aaye.......
Aahista Aahista
Last one but not less than melodious song. Father (it seems) tries to make his child sleep....
Aahista Aahista.....Aahista Aahista,
Nindiyaa Tu Aa, In Do Nainon Mein.......
But he asks more than just a sleep, he asks sleep to come with number of light and sweet dreams...while singing the good-night song for his son, he also misses his own childhood and his childhood dreams which were lost somewhere in the dark-blue night and he begs for all those lost dreams and moments of past to come again to comfort him.......Amazingly presented!!!
This album is WOW!!
Javed Akhtar has deftly written lyrics of all these songs and A.R.Rehman was just fabulous to compose them. Must have Album
