I do a lot of research online when it comes to making a buying decision and prefer buyer opinions to shop adverts. Its more honest. which is why I’d like to give my review on the terrible experience we had with this furniture vendor in Bangalore. The store was called - - Swathis Furniture, #17, ’Apoorva’, 100 feet rd, BTM 1st stage, Gurappana Palya, Bangalore - 76. I believe they have a 2nd outlet in B’lore as well. After checking out multiple showrooms for a double bed Cot with center storage we happen to walk in to this place. The Look of the showroom was quite good and the Sr. manager there Mr. Shekar sold us on the quality & service they provide etc. Suitably impressed we placed an order for the cot paying an advance of 5k. We were given a delivery date of 11th - on 11th we were informed that we would get it in the evening - upon callin in the evening we were told that due to rains the varnish hadn dried so we would get it on 12th - on 12th we were told we’d get it at 3 . then 5.30 . then 8.30. Finaly that we would get it next day at 6 for sure. So we didnt bother to call n directly went to the showrm. we were made to wait till 8.30 . then the truck came and we had the piece delivered home to assemble - only to realise that it was damaged, v sent it back.next day we asked for the advance back but ver told its not possible, we either had to buy something else or take this - the store manager Mr. Ravi kumar - whos the most uncivilised uncultured man I hav had the misfortune to meet claimed to have 2000 satisfied custs n that it was a minor paint issue that had gotten scrapped during transport. after much haggling - they neither offered us a discount, nor a compensation for not having got the headboard measurement right. we were left with no choice but to get the cot home. The whole experience left us with a sour feeling.
