To avoid extreme heat conditions in Delhi and due space constraint at home we decided to buy Symphony DiET 12T tower Air cooler last summer. We purchased the same from an online portal. The cooler is sleek and easy to use(having remote) and occupies less space at home. The air pressure is good and during normal summers like in April it used to cool the room but when tested in extreme heat conditions like in May end or June, it was not giving proper cooling.
Also the front(air) area is not fully opened hence only one part use to throw air which anyways doesnt cool the bed. We also tried to use Ice cubes for increasing the cooling effect(as demonstrated during online purchase) but all in vein.
Later we observed(nearly a year) the fan stops functioning, the cooler flaps not sticking at one place etc. We called service desk for the support and the person visited told us that the motor got out of order and need to replace but we need to pay for it. We shared our disappointment with the Symphony customer care executive and we got a feedback call as well regarding our complaint however nothing has happened post that and we had to get it sorted out through local vendor. That too is working on and off. We didnt expect this from Symphony coolers since they are a big brand in air coolers and we went ahead with the name itself.
