Pump failed in 1st year, cheap replacement made

I had purchased this Diet 22 I (sleek tower model in 2010), it had problems in the first year itself, the pump stopped working. We called the shop from where it was purchased they gave us one service men’s number which we called. That guy seems replaced it with a flimsy non-branded water pump having rubber suction cups instead of the original screw fitting style pump. As a result as soon as the water level went down, pump dropped down but still working. As a result, it always used to stop pumping water even if there is water!


Informed Symphopny on Thu 2nd May 2013, complaint # PNC-2E13035. They auto-reply said will contact you in 12 hours! We’ll today is the 5th day and there is no call yet. Logged multiple complaints one format was automated system where they "record" your complaint, anyway, they have not contacted yet. Being after warranty, you are not "given" chance to talk to them directly, it goes to automated system only!


Meanwhile, I contacted the shop again they gave a different person this type who is promising to give a genuine wear pump from symphony, let’s see.


Cons:


1) Noise, Oh My God! It noises as much to say that its cooling a stadium? Very scary, it something happens outside your home like some thief breaking in etc, you well never know!


2) The wheels are not "tight" they are loose any they come apart while lifting empty cooler.


3) Water pump assembly is prone to problem as the metal screws are fitted into plastic assembly, so after a while during repair assembly may broke if screws are tight. And if its broken, cooler will never be able to have a pump fixed properly!


4) Our cooler never run with water thru out the night, by 4 am it used to dry out! Why probably pump is faulty and pumping water faster than required! So, it evaporates quickly.


5) You can’t clean the water compartment w/o service man!


6) The model name is NOT printed anywhere on the cooler. The serial number is a guess work job!


7) Symphony service, seems pathetic.


Pros: Sleek design only


Summary: May run well in 1st year! Then? Symphony Service is a major problem!
