Hello folks,
I bought this product for 10K bucks last week. Please be patient to read this thoroughly as this might force you to change your buying decision, I really mean it.
This is our second Symphony air cooler purchase.
Normally these products are found in air conditioned outlets which is not the right place to check the air flow capacity.
Secondly, the air flow is already very chilled by the surrounding temperature of the outlet interior.
So, no one can ever judge the exact ability of such products.
And I was also the victim of such a set up.
The only reason I bought this is the less space it occupies in my bedroom.
The name Diet itself is very catchy and the looks really are appealing.
Wheels are helpful for portability across your rooms.
This are the only pros I realized after my purchase, which now I regret.
The cons are too many as, listed below.
Air flow is very very less, not sufficient even for a distance of 5 feet. One needs to almost hug it near the vent to get the air flow.
The air flow vent is a vertical rectangle and this is the major reason for not able to cool wider areas horizontally.
The interior fan is very small if compared to the other box sized cooler models. This is due to the tall tower model which can’t accommodate large sized fan within.
The fan rotates vertically and the air is bounced back from the inner walls to flow out which obviously decreases the cooling effect to much extent. Comparing the normal box sized coolers, their fans rotate in a horizontal direction and are placed right near the vent which throw the air straight outwards improving the cooling effect.
The remote control is of no use at all as you can’t check the effect of pressing the buttons as the control panel lies at the top of this model. Their is no display screen or so that would show up the actions by remote control.
I did not get any call from Symphony for the demo yet.
The water inlet is very weird and requires much patience to fill 50 liters in it.
Lastly the price, its so over priced, Symphony really needs to rethink on the pricing. They are just looting customers like us due to their branding image in the market.
You should not believe me unless you compare the points I have shared during purchase.
My parents have got the normal box sized models in my native and that’s much better than this in terms of all aspects.
In fact, I feel a pedestal fan will cool greater area.
Please do check other models from Symphony or other tower models from other brands before purchase.
