I stay in ap, where the heat is not severe. The cooler did a decent job of cooling my sitting room(22ft by 14 ft). For best results, place the cooler outside the room.
There are two funny things about the cooler. Even when the cooler is switched off, but the plug is in the wall socket, the directional blades silently keep moving. Normally one does not notice it, but it means the cooler is consuming power even when it is not working.
The other thing is, you cannot run the cooler without the pump. The moment you switch it on, the pump starts working automatically. This means, if you want the cooler to only bring in fresh air from outside, that will not be possible. Even if the air is cool outside, this cooler will give you humid air only.
