My experience during my time with Synechron was quite decent. During my 3 years there, I was assigned to some good projects which gave me good exposure on the technology side. work pressure at times used to be quite a bit but it was a good learning experience.
One thing I would like to say is that this company really does have a great salary package for all employees. if you are having some experience from your earlier jobs, then you really have a good chance of getting a nice package with this company. also there are a lot of bonuses given from time to time for good performance and appraisal cycle is also quite decent. only last year due to recession there was no salary increase… but still better than getting pay cut like some other companies.
another thing I liked about the company was the special focus on organizing fun activities like parties, festival celebrations, and weekend trips. this was a good way of getting out of work routine and I really enjoyed some of these events with my colleagues.
From work point of view, most of the project is only in banking and insurance industry as most clients are from these industries. if you are looking for specializing in these sections then this is a good place for you… but if you are wanting more exposure to other industries then this company is not the best option.
Managers are quite decent and cooperative. There are no strict rules about breaks or fixed timings for work. flexibility is given to many people as depending on their projects.
One bad point of Synechron was the canteen food. there were a few different vendors that changed while I was there and each gave food that one can live without. I hope this is change now after repeated complaints from employees.
