This is a small review dat explains how the up and downs’s software boom effected me and my career. I completed my Btech in 2008 from JNTU
In my third year I got selected for Syntel in a off campus along with some of my college friends. They offered us a package of 2.8L/anum ok we felt very happy and thought very luckey becoz out of 3000 + people only 25 got selected on that campus selections. Well we thought everything is going on fine.
By the end of november 2007 we got our offer letters stating that we will get the final call leter by the end of june 2008 and we need to maintain certain qualifications like having no backlogs etc...
Ok finally may came.
We finished our final exams
May ending:got the results hurrey no backlogs dreaming for the call letter. June:eagerly waiting for the call letter communicating with the people in Syntel for info Abt call letter. July and August: still waiting that we will get the call letter at any time. At that time we got a news that syntel has postponed the recruitments and we are really shocked I just decided not to wait for syntels call letter and came a Bangalore and attended Hp’s interview and god’s sake I was selected and now working for it
But the people who are still waiting for call letter are still waiting for the call letter and thinking that they will get it in the next month. See I am not sure that these will get their call letter and will be waiting r it how long I don’t know
It is a tough time for IT freshers those who stopped trying for other companies becoz of getting selected for one company are the real sufferer’s now. Don’t know when they will be getting a chance to join in their companies
