Every once in a while right after seeing this film you immediately know you are going to rewatch it and can’t wait to do so. A lot changes in 20 years. The world is very different. Danny boyle’s ability to direct a slick and electryfying flick however, remains just the same.
T2 was never going to recapture the magic of the original , but it is a worthy sequel. It is a matured look at where the characters we grew fond of all that time ago find themselves 20 years later in the life. After the Betrayel of the last film, can the really be set aside and old friendships be redeemed ? Does time really heal everything ?
Sharply written and stylishly shot , with a game cast that doesn’t miss a beat, trainspotting not only advances the story in meaningful and natural ways, , but does in a highly entertaining manner that never tarnishes the legacy of the original but rather respects and pays triputes to it.
