Subhash Ghai strikes again. Taal is one of those movies which goes in the stereotype records of love stories. Wasn’t Pardes enough torture??!! I just wondered how this movie became a hit. The only thing nice about the movie was the scenry and A.R. Rehman’s lovely music. THATS ALL! The most monotonous triangle of all times.
Plot:
Ash live in the village with her family.
Akshay comes to India for first time.
They fall in love(as if that wasn’t obvious.)
A few songs and a few kasams.
Ash is poor and Akshay is rich.
Akshay’s family oppose- they move to city.
A couple of misunderstandings arise when Alokh Nath slaps Amrish Puri(Akshay’s father) for some reason.
Akshay and Ash hate each other.
Ash joins a music director who always steals songs(does anybody remember Anu Malik)
Music director- Anil Kapoor falls in love witH Ash(Geez!
Aren’t there any proffesionals anymore?)
Akshay comes back into Ash’s life with a great return.
Akshay tries to win Ash back.
The rest is the same old formula.

AKSHAY, WHAT IS YOUR WORK HERE?!
A lot of audiences have been outraged(sorry for my exaggerating) at the least amount of work Akshay Khanna has to do in the fim. I mean he tells his father in the fim, Amrish Puri, ’’Agar mera pyar saccha hai to aap khud Mansi ko mere paas layenge.’’ And then again he tells Anil Kapoor, ’’Agar mera pyaar saacha hai to tum khud Mansi ko mere paas bhejoge.’ My point is if everybody else is going to do all the work, what is Akshay Khanna going to do?
THE SLAP- AKSHAY KHANNA, ’’WHY DID YOU SLAP MY FATHER IN THE FILM, AMRISH PURI?’- THE REAL REASON
Yesterday night, Akshay Khanna stepped up to Alok Nath and asked him, ’’Why did you slap my father played by Amrish Puri in the film? That is why Aishwarya and me had miunderstandings. Do you know how many people suffered? The audience had to bear my face for another 1 and a half hours and they had to see the disastrous way of how me and Ash reunite.’ Alok Nath replies, ’’Oh my! Did that cause that much havoc?! I had no idea. but you see it’s not fair to me. Do you want to know the real reason I slapped Amrish Puri? He always gets to play the rich NRI I guy and I have to be the poor Indian farmer. it’s not fair!
LOVELY SCENERY MR. GHAI.
A lot of people have come to MR. Subhash Ghai and complimented on his beutiful scenery in the film. He told us, ’’My dear audiences and critics, I had to put up all that scenery to make NRI’S abroad see how I make India. They feel it’s true(most of them have no idea how India looks today). tHEY FEEL how well I’ve sketched India and the movie becomes a huge sucess abroad!’’ What a schemer!

Acting wise- Akshay Khanna really didn’t suit the role very well. He could have done so much better! His best performance you really ought to see is in Dil Chatha Hai.
Aishwarya rai would have been appreciated even if she stood still in the movie! She should try to take off the wooden expresion of her face and try to act. She was much better in one of the recent hits- Devdas.
Anil Kapoor is great in his comedy but he;s just a sidekick in the movie. the movie could be worth wtching atleast once just because of him.
The music is excellent- A.R. Rehman once again with delightful tunes to the ears.
THIS MOVIE IS HORRIBLE!
In conclusion, I’ve really tried to make a different review this time. Waiting for comments EAGERLY!
