Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasma is a very entertaining show. It is on TV since 2008 and is still interesting. We like to watch this halka phulka program at 8.30 pm, which has become our dinner time.
There are a few things that I find intriguing about this serial.
Like, Gokuldham colony is so spacious with a huge compound in between and a huge lawn with a personal temple on one side. And there is just one jeep and a scooter, belonging to Sodi and Bhide. Others are happily living, without a personal conveyance. And here I live in a colony where in some families, there are two members and they own three cars.
Then, Jethalal posses two flats on the first floor, that is fine. But then he has a personal staircase from ground floor to 1st floor and that staircase ends there. How do the people residing above Jethas floor, reach their flats on the 2nd floor?:)
Now, they have changed the interior of all the flats, which is very nice. But earlier, they used to show that the way to Dayas kitchen was through her bedroom. But when they showed inside of her bedroom, there was only the attached bathroom. Where did the kitchen disappear? There was no other door.
They manage to keep our interest alive with different stories. Sometimes they catch up a theme, like that of some festival, then sometimes it becomes dragging.
Also, I didnt like the way the Inspector Pandey used to speak with Jetha lal. No matter how honest he is, but he had no right to show his danda to Jetha and saymarunga danda every time. I did not find that funny. While they were showing all good things of a society, according to me, they showed misbehavior by a Govt. employee with a common person Jetha. I dont think anyone will appreciate such a behaviour in their real life. I couldnt stop myself and even left a feedback on the Sab TV website.
Sometimes, they even alert us about things that we take casually. E.g. when they showed a thug saleswoman, persuading ladies of the society to smell the perfume she was selling and they all fainted while doing so. And thereafter she took off with their cash and jewelry. This would have never occurred to me, when sales personnel come to our house.
Overall, they are showing an example of a perfect society!:)
