This is a story of a person named taarak mehta who is also called as firebrigade by his friend always in his need Jethalal Gada. Taarak always helps Jethalal to get out of most of the problems be it of any kind and also because he is never short of any problems.
The story also revolves around the Gokuldham colony where there are always some or the other issue out of which some are caused by tappu sena(a group of 5-6 young kids) and/or the elders that include many families like that of taarak mehta, jethalal gadaa, dr hansraj hathi, scientist mr and mrs aieeyar, or be it rita reporter or baghaa or nattu kakaa, or partrakaar(journalist) popatlal. Also there are families of teacher bhide and garage owner sodhi.
All the stories revolve around the problems these people face and they solve. also there are celebrations done for every festival as well as for playing GPL Gokuldham Premier League.
Be it the crush of jethalal for babita the wife of Mr. Aiiyer or the garba styles of the wife of jethalal, daya bhabhi, or the biggest problem of popatlal that is actually big for him that he is being rejected by each and every other girl and wants to get married although he loves his umbrella more than he could possibly love anyone else, or the playtime and studies of tappu sena and their adventures as a group to any place or to do any event, or be it constant hunger of hansraj hathi ji this gokuldham society shows all colours very efficiently and the funny portrayal makes it hard for audience to not laugh.
The fun and frolic filled each and every episode with fun problems danger and excitement makes it a definate watch.
