It is based on the column duniya ne oondha chashmah by tark mehta in gujrati magazine chitralekha.
The show is running from a very long time and is about to complete its 8th year in this july, 2016. The cast and crew of this show is very very nicely taken. The show tells us abt the relationships of humans in a society which stays together in every situations of life.
Either its someone’s happiness or someone’s saddness everyone share it together and noone complains. In the show the society in which the people stay is gokuldham society in which the differnet families are of different states or of different castes. The show everyone now a then gives lessons of lives as to how a society should be and how the people living in it should behave with each other. The main character of the show daya ben is the wife of jhetalal gada. The gada family is the center of attraction in the society and the main characters of the show around whom the show revolves.
There is babuji the father figure of the society , who is the father of jhetalal but everyone else in the society treats him with the same respect. The show is a family show which should be watched by everyone in the family. The show may not be liked by the people who in the influence of western culture have forgotten our indian culture. The indian culture is very nicely shown in the show and every festival is celebrated with same zeal as the other one no matter what the other person’s belief is. The show brings us closer to people and our culture so its a must watch.
