I was just having a look at all the reviews posted on this topic.Everything that needs to be mentioned about this movie has been written in great wonderful adjectives.I just had to see the movie to find out why.Yes, this is splendid work from amir khan productions.Amir is doing a great service to the society by working in films like rdb, lagaan, dch and now TZP.This perspective of looking at a child’s world from a child’s angle hasnt been exploited in any other films.
This movie is a must watch for all parents and potential parents.Kids may not enjoy this coz, the animation ends in the first few minutes.
Ishan(darsheel)suffers from dyslexia and shows symptoms of the disease.Unfortunately neither his parents nor his teachers, understand the gravity of the situation and pack him off to boarding school, hoping the strict regimen there would finally "force" him to get rid of his "playful tricks" and make him a good student.Ishan gets some harsh treatment at the boarding school and begins to dislike his parents and the world around him.Enter Nikhumb(amir khan), who deciphers the symptoms of dyslexia and after counselling ishan’s parents and convincing the headmaster takes upon himself to help the child.The child, initially hesitant, responds remarkably, (thanks to nikhumbh’s creative measures), and the excitement reaches a crescendo with a thrilling climax(aided in no small measure by the excellent music of SEL).
Performances-Daresheel Safari is brilliant as Ishan nandakishore Awasthi.He knocks the wind out of you with the performance of a lifetime.I just get the feeling that these new generation of kids are hugely talented and its better for us to sit back and enjoy their talents.Sarala of "Water" fame is another example.
Ram Shankar Nikhumbh(Amir Khan)oozes sincerity in every frame and he really feels the pain that the child is going through and delivers a pognant and understated performance.
Ishan’s parents are also equally brilliant, and potray their charecters to a T.
"Duniya ki is bhaag doud mein doudkar karna kya hai.agar yahi jeena hai to phir marna kya hai"(lage raho.)TZP stressess on the attitude of looking at every function of life with a capitalist point of view, and commiting the more sinister crime of forcing our next generation to follow in our footsteps.The evolution of any society is in its versatality.if everyone becomes an engineer, our life will be full of gadgets, bridges and other technological inventions.You need a poet who can bring out the simplicity of life, a cricketer who can provide you moments of joy, a singer who can soothe the stressfull minds, a teacher who can be ur friend, philosopher and guide, an amir khan .to make taare zameen par.
