Not at all kabil-ae-taareef

I heard a lot about this restaurant in Aundh Pune. From the sources I heard about it, all said ots good for Moglai, tandoor food. So I decided to visit it with my family. I generally dont like to write negative about food stuff but this restaurant forced me to do so. Firstly I would like to say sorry to GOD for writing negative about food.

Althoug it is on main road, its hardly seen from outside, I used to travel through this road everyday but I had to search for it on the day of visit. Its deep inside the building.

From outside, it gave me an impression of "Must Be Huge" restaurant. Shear disappointment, its too small, hardly 8 odd tables that too very cramped up arrangements for sitting. They have tried to give dusty, antique look for interiors with some semicircled arches, but its pleasent to your eyes for just 5 minutes, after that it starts creating dull feeling in your mind.

Now about service and food.

Service was dead slow and pathetic. It took 10 minutes for them to attend our table and serve with water. Then we asked for menu, another person got that after another 10 minutes. Finally we decided to order for Chicken Tikka and half tandoor (menu says some different names). My son 8 years old, wanted to have pepsi or thums up. I called up captain to take down the order, He said, no soft drinks are available. My son got disappointed, I requested him can we go out and get a bottle from outside? he bluntly said no. Anyways, we convinced my son and ordered for 2 items. Took 20 minutes, to get served.

Food

Person came and served us tikka and tandoor in our plates. without salad, onion and lemon. We asked for it he went to get it. I think he went to get it from the farmer. Never returned. We started eating it as it is. Tikka....was toooooooooooooo salty (300% salt than required) and badly overcooked. No tenderness in chicken rather the texture was like rice. We hardly had half a piece each. Now Tandoor.... I guess, chef forget to cook tandoor and he cooked tikka twice instead. it was very chewie and could not be eaten. We called up captain, he retuned as usual after 10 minutes. We told him to taste tikka and tandoor. He said, add lemon to tikka so it will taste good. We asked him to taste tandoor, he simply said it cold so its chewie. There is nothing he can do about both the things.

We had already lost our apetite and mood both. Finally wife said sorry to me that she recommended and followed up with me to visit this place. She said sorry I spoiled your evening and dinner. I said not an issue, but it was too late to change the restaurant, so we decided to have some rice item and call ot for the evening.

We ordered chicken biryani. As if we were not satisfied with the food we had till then. He served it in 5 minutes, surprised. We said we will serve ourself. To our shear amazement, it had lot of water dropping from it it was even dripping while serving using spoon. Chicken pieces were appearing like tandoor pieces washed under water and put in the rice. No taste, only heavy spices like clove, dalchini and pepper.

We decided to end our tragic dinner and evening and we paid off and left the place to never to return.

One more biggest disappointment was...the ambiance is like bar, menu is only non-veg. Speciality is nonveg and they dont serve beer, wine or any drinks. Most of the people around our tables were asking for bar menu and captain used to put fake smile and say, we dont serve sir. Couple of tables left the place becasue of this.

Finally we left, went to pizzhut adjoining the TAAREEF, had pizza and returned home.

Friends, I dont recommend this place to you at all. it is waste of time, money and mood tooo. If you want to break with your partner, please take your partner here for 100% success.
