Well Yummy isn’t the word. I have been always waiting for a Taco Bell to open in mumbai and I am so glad it did. Even though its in a mall, and one have to stand in a queue and hunt for a place to sit, but it’s worth all the efforts.
Taco Bell does not serve authentic Mexican food. What it serves is Tex-Mex cuisine, which is Mexican food Americanized and turned into fast food, characterized by heavy use of cheese, spices and beans. But who?s complaining, as long as it tastes great. Considering its tagline ? think outside the bun ? it clearly shows that the target audience for Taco Bell is the burger and sub loving crowd.
So this review is when I visited the Goregoan Oberoi mall outlet. It is always busy out there. I opted for the big bell box which had everything in it, a drink, a burrito, topped nacho and chalupa all at a tiny price. The box is delicious - one gets to taste the best of everything taco bell India has to offer.
I also opted for a 7 layered burrito which was huge and hard to finish yet juicy and tasty. One thing I noticed in taco bell is we were allowed to fill in our drink(pepsi) glasses twice, Which wasn’t the case when I used to visit it’s outlet in Bangalore.
I also indulged in my favourite Mexican pizza which is basically beans and salsa sandwiched between two layers of crisp tortillas and topped with salsa and melted cheese which is very crisp and a must try.
All in all a fabulous place to enjoy Mexican delights with very much in budget.
