The Taj Mahal is an integrated complex of structure s that include a white marble mausoleam containing the tombs of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and is third wife Mumtaz Mahal.The mughai dynsty built many mausoleam in the indian subcontinent but the Taj Mahal is undoubtedly the finest. The mausoleam is built entirely of white marble, set on a high base of plinth which includes four tall minarates, one on each corner. On other side of the tomb are a mosque and guest house, while the tomb faces a garden laid out in the ’charbagh’ style witj a central walkway with fountains and viewing platforms with green spaces on trees on either side. The entrance to the complex is through a grand omamental gatway, inscribed with Quranic inscription and the calligraphed line O Soul thou art at rest.
