I had been to visit Taj Mahal in the month of January from Delhi via road.
The Taj Mahal is even more beautiful than what it is said and written about. We had hired a guide and he explained some of the facts which were unknown to me. I want to share some facts with you guys.
1) If you give a closer look to taj Mahal you will realize the 4 pillars are inclined towards outside. It has been designed to make sure in event of earthquake the pillars fall outside.
2) The design on walls are crafted using precious neelam stones. The stones were fitted inside the cut outs of the wall.
3) The walls are constructed in such a way that spiders can’t make webs on the walls.
4) The grave of Mumtaj which is displayed inside taj Mahal is just a hollow dome and the real grave is situated exactly at the same position but close to 70 feet below.
