What’s the Hurry?

A million-dollar question? How many years will it take to build a ?Taj Mahal? in 21st century? Do you really have to hurry? Well... Read on

I remember standing in a long queue, waiting for my turn to come to get my name transferred from maika?s ration card to sasural?s ration card. (Not that ration card is of any use to me, but just in case government comes up with some new policy in which the ration card is of utmost importance? better be on safe end :o))

After 2-3 hours of long waiting my turn came and what happens?? The guy at the counter within ten seconds check and throw my papers away saying such and such paper is missing :o( Grrr!! I was almost on tears and called my dear hubby explained him what happened and asked what to do? there came a prompt reply ?Kuch kharcha pani de de na? (give him some tip), same replies came from my in-laws and out-laws?lolz!! Somehow could get the name transfer done, without this kharcha pani ;o) (as I don?t believe in it)

Nope! This is not the story of the Hindi play ?Taj Mahal ka Tender? but this is definitely a small version of what the writer ?Ajay Shukla? is trying to articulate?

!~ Plot ~!

IPTA presents ?Taj Mahal ka Tender? with a simple real concept, vividly revealing the operational style of present government organizations from top to bottom, exposing the dominated and uncontrolled corruption of bureaucratic environment with a touch of comedy.

!~ Story ~!

A straightforward story depicting that if Samrat Shahjahan would have want to build a monument ?TajMahal? in memory of his beloved wife today, how all his efforts would have been wasted. How his riches would have been emptied even before he could see the foundation of this monument, while the bank balance of everyone else involved or not involved with this project would be soaring.

!~ Climax ~!

Well the Samrat at least get to see the Tender!! Lolz!! But what happens next? Check out!!

!~ Good / Bad ~!

!! All in all a play with good concept, but anything done too much spoils the thing. Like those saas bahu serials? this is a bit stretched out?

!! The two main characters ?Guptaji? and his secretary are the best and perfectly suit the role, but that?s not the case with all the remaining, infect some of the characters are really bad and fumble when they convey their dialogues.

P.S: Go for it if there is nothing better to do :o)
