Is this a step sister of the Taj Group of Hotels ..I really wonder if getting posted to Taj Residency Kochi, is like a punishment posting given to Taj Hotel employees in India.
My wife and I decided one evening to dine in Taj Residency. On reaching the entrance, I was told that there is no place to park inside..So we parked our car at the gate and walk inside only to realize that there was ample parking space in the courtyard.
We sat down at a table in the Bubble Cafe, only to realize that it wasn’t laid properly. There was no cutlery, or cloth napkins. No one offered us a glass of water till we asked for it. We finally ordered beer, which came 20 minutes late and the waiter had forgot to get the glasses (which took another 10 minutes to arrive).
As we were having our drink, we were wondering..How can the service be so pathetic? We glanced around to realize waiters greedily hovering around foreigners. That was the time we realised that service in Taj is directly proportional to your propensity to tip the waiter.
We ordered Bolognaise which was prepared by a chef whose specialty seemed to be Banana chips cooked in coconut oil. It didn’t seem remotely close to my idea of Bolognaise
It was a wasted evening for us
