Takeshi castle

Takeshi castle was a Japanese game show that aired between 1986 and 1990, on the Tokyo Broadcasting System. It featured the Japanese actor Takeshi Kitano(also known as Beat Takeshi) as a count who owns a castle and sets up difficult challenges for players(or a volunteer army) to get to him. The show has become a cult television hit around the world.


the show is aired on the Pogo TV channel, with Hindi dubbing by Javed Jaffrey. Jaffrey adds humor in the show. It has become very popular in India, being shown at least twice a day and having marathon runs of 2 hours on Sundays.The show was earlier voiced by Indian comedians Raju Srivastav, Sunil Pal, Navin Prabhakar and Ahsaan Qureshi. It gained huge popularity among children and adults due to its raw content.It is still aired Monday to Friday 9:00 PM.
