I have traveled many countries and I have seen places in my life. But this village makes me crazy. Last year I went New Zealand for some business purpose and received the opportunity to go Tamaki Maori Village for Hangi Buffet Dinner. The village was built by two brothers and has been set up to reflect what a Typical Maori Village was like back prior to white man settlement.
I meet some friends and we arranged a small trip from Rotorua to this village. When we attended, there were about 5 bus loads of guests. Each bus load had to choose their own chief, who would greet the big chief at the village. When we reached Maori they perform welcoming ritual dance. From there they took us inside the village. we are separated in groups and villagers informed us about the village and cultures. It is really fun and informative.
After that we went to theater and we enjoyed Maori dances and songs. Then we went for dinner and it’s buffet style. The food was tender and tasty. Desserts are really awesome and mouthwatering. After that we spend little more time there and drink little and most amazing we dance too. It’s really fun. Then we catch up our bus and come back to our hotel.
They provides entertainment and you can’t stop yourself to have fun. Overall, it was a fantastic night. The staffs were very friendly and welcoming. I already recommend this place to my friends and now I am telling you about this. Best amazing and wonderful place I have ever seen!
