I had expected better from Imtiaz Ali, but Tamasha is definitely not as good as Jab We Met, Love Ajj Kal or even Highway.
I respect his concept of love as a journey, more so an inner journey, which only makes one understand what he/she is all about. Love is definitely an awakening. Love is definitely meeting and hitting it off with that right’someone’ who brings out the best in us!
Tamasha is all of this, but it is also a hapless story of a guy stuck in a wrong job.it dwells in the fallacies of the corporate design, more than it shows the inner awakening of the soul through the loved one.
The storytelling is confused, the folklore theme is good but has been over-used. Deepika could have got more screen space than what she got. But I have to admit great score by Rahman and great shows by the lead pair.they are surely at the top of their game!
