Tamil padam is a hilarious and uproarious movie imitating Tamil film Industry. This movie is all about mocking Tamil heroes and their cartoon styles. Hero Siva who acted in Chennai 600028 is born on a rainy day in a village and his father wants to kill him as he don’t want baby boy(spoofing Karuthama Movie).The new born baby boy utters Vijay dialogue. He goes to Chennai, asks his grandmother when he will grow up and fight against injustice in the city. His grandmother says to pedal bicycle. When wheels roll on he grows into a adult as most of the Tamil movies shows.
He goes to the college and roam around with friends like other heroes did. His friends were Veniradai Moorthi, MS Basker and Manobala mocking at the old age comedians who were acting as students still. Meanwhile he falls in love with a girl(Disha pandey) by seeing her courage and does all the things to attract her as normal heroes done in Mounaragam, Kadaluku Mariyathai, Kadalan, mozhi movies. Her father is not interested in our hero as he is poor. Her father orders coffee, before the servant brings the coffee, Shiva works hard and becomes rich man, like Rajini does in Anamalai and Padaiappa.
Its humorous when he goes back to his village and find his deserted parents. A English pop song is played when he reunites with his parents as there will be always a sentimental song whenever a family units. Finally he is shown as a undercover cop who want to erase criminals from the city(spoofing Vijay’s in Pokkiri). The way he kills the criminals were shown in a hilarious manner imitating pokkiri, kakka kakka, anniyan, aburva sagodarargal movies.
Finally screens are uproarious as the main villain ‘D’(imitating Visu’s movie) is none other than his Grandmother itself. The final fight is in a big mill imitating Pokkiri.The Director Amudhan teased mainly Rajinikanth and Vijay. Kamalahasan, Karthik, simbu, Bagyaraj, Ramarajan, Vikram, surya, rajkeeran, rathika were not spared.
Its not easy to write a script connecting all the scenes picked from different movies in a funny manner. All the credit goes to director and the actor Siva who did a fantastic job in imitating the style and behavior of the actors. The punch dialogues, sequences and expressions were damn good. All other people had done their character pretty well. As the movie is produced by Dayanathi Alagiri, no heroes or industry people dared to criticize or shown concern over this movie. This movie is typically for Tamil fans who followed Tamil movies for many years. If u want to have a healthy laugh watch this movie. Disha Pandey shouts at Shiva to propose his love in public, so he goes to college Principal’s room to speak in mike. He find a lot of guys standing in line to propose, imitating Mouna Ragam Movie. Its hilarious when Swarnaka tries to rape a boy, as other villains do.
All police officers were discussing, that lot of terrorists and criminals entered the city. Meanwhile a guy dressed like Osama bin laden serves coffee to all the police officers.
A guy dressed like Vijayaganth in Vaidagi Kathiruntal, sings a sexy song in the night where originally Vijayaganth sings a melody. Siva’s classical dance to impress Disha, is damn good, he ends up drawing a monkey’s face instead of her face(Like Prabhu Deva did in Kadalan)
With meanless words’O Magaseeya’ song impress everybody, mocking at latest songs without meanings.
