This restaurant has been done up recently. It does nothave the old ambiance anymore - in the past it was a little dingy if you ask me. Now it has a much better ambiance and some reasonably good decor - I like it better now. The food is fantastic and you have some of the best North Indian food you can get in Cochin.
The service is normally good however when you have a full house, things start to get tardy - service becomes slow - sometimes they forget to bring all the dishes you ordered and stuff like that. On a weekday, service is good because it is not so full up - on a weekend, try and get in early - before the rush if you are keen on good service. Moreover, there is a turnover of the serving staff which lends to the irregular service as well.
I must stat that the quality of the food remains good irrespective of whether there is a full house or not - I will definitely recommend this restaurant. Like some of the other reviewers have mentioned, prices have increased a bit over the years but I definitely think it is value for money. Ver recently a meal for 3 cost us Rs. 450 including an ice-cream which cost Rs. 85.
