I went there on the Christmast evening. Was expecting a good crowd (In all my last visits a few years back the place used to be really crowded). But may be I was visiting thier Kormangala branch.
On stepping in the place looked empty. Was it downturn or had I visited the wrong branch. The questions still in mind I decided to take the table for 4.
We being veggies, ordered for the evergreen Daal Makhani, Paneer Curry and the Veg Biryani with a couple of breads.
And now the fine dining experience begins --
The waiter serves a chipped plate. On requesting a change, brings another chipped plate. This time from a few more corners.
On calling and tellling this to a manager, he tries to thump on the plate to show us how this is not broken. Case Rested!!!
The food comes, the biryani looks stale and rice all broken. On top of it there is 3 sizez of cut veggies in it. On our request to change it, the same thing comes back in 3 minutes turned upside down. They were charging some Rs 200 odd for it. Why will they not use Basmati or good quality rice. Why will they not make it fresh? Beats me
But this one takes the cake -- at the end of the meal, the waiter when asked for finger bowl, get the bowl. Puts his fingers in it to check if the water is hot enough. Decides it is, put some cold water, they decides to put his fingers again. They while bringing it was so unsure that decided to put his fingers again by the time it reached my table.
Honestly I didn’t know what to do :-) lol. There was no point calling the manger. He had already visited our table twice.
So we left it at that.
This place used to be a real gem. I am not sure what happened? This was supposed to be a fine fine dining!
